About Good Morning Films
Good Morning Films is an independent Ukrainian production company founded by producer Andrii Korniienko in 2012. We develop auteur-driven and co-production projects shaped by strong artistic vision, intellectually rigorous storytelling, and international ambition. Our current focus is on discovering new cinematic voices and supporting films that engage with contemporary Ukrainian experience in all its complexity. The company’s slate spans fiction, documentary, and series formats. Key titles include the feature dramedy I Work at the Cemetery, the musical drama Kira’s Dream, the short film Life Begins, the feature documentary Family Album, and the documentary series Ode to Unity. Portraits, as well as projects in development: the series adaptation of Pavlo Belianskyi’s novel Grandma Didn’t Like Dying, the inclusive tragicomedy The Romance Apocalypse or The Long-Distance Train, and the utopian project Entangled. We have extensive experience preparing projects and applications for international cultural institutions and industry platforms, including Creative Europe MEDIA, the British Council, House of Europe, Tallinn Black Nights (PÖFF), and Riga IFF Showcase. The company’s work is supported by festival selections and awards: Life Begins received Best Short Film recognitions (including KINOKOLO and Kanazawa Film Festival), I Work at the Cemetery has been selected and awarded internationally (including festivals in Warsaw and Munich), and Kruty 1918 was recognised by the national industry (including the Golden Dzyga award).
